He did fantastic! The parents were scheduled to be in the classrooms with the children for 20 minutes to help them adjust. After about 10 minutes or so, I told Alex “Mommy’s going to have to leave now” and he said “ok, Kiss me!” So I did. And then I left, no problems, no tears, nothing but a little boy eager to be big.
He told me on the way home that he played with a boat, sang the spider song, and colored me a picture of “lots lots of train tracks.” He’s already looking forward to going back on Thursday. He said that “I’m good at school because I’m getting Bigger Bigger.” Indeed he is.
