What an amazing family! I loved every minute of this portrait session. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt a connection (it could be because the 3 year old ran up to me and gave me a big hug the minute I stepped into her house!) Seriously, though, I love families who let me capture them just being themselves, having fun, loving each other.
I love capturing the natural interaction between families, I love to step back for a moment and just let them do whatever it is that they do best. When I pose families, I don’t give much direction – usually just a “hey, why don’t you sit/stand/jump over here, and give your sissy/momma/daddy a hug/kiss/tickle?” What happens next is what I love to photograph most.
The You Capture theme this week at I Should be Folding Laundry is “Happiness.” Isn’t this just the perfect set of pictures for the theme?!
Of course, with every session, I do take “normal” portraits, both of individuals and of the group. And this session (although quite relaxed) was no exception. I could shoot this lovely young lady all day long! She was a natural in front of the camera, and so pretty.
Thanks again to the C. family! I truly enjoyed our time together, and I hope to see you again as your beautiful girls grow.
These are GORGEOUS “happy” photos! What fun!
These are absolutely beautiful. Great shots!
These are fantastic. I can’t wait to see the rest of them.
