Ignite: A Creative Discovery
Once again, the monthly fine art circle undertaken with a wonderful group of photographers from The Bloom Forum. We are stretching ourselves and spreading our wings. Each month we each post an image or a series of images focused on the fine art aspect of photography.
This group was inspired by Nichole Van, who wrote on her site: “I’m still that hopelessly romantic girl. And I still have a list of creative ideas a mile long that I would love to complete. Henri Matisse stated, “An artist is an explorer.” I often feel like that, though perhaps it’s just a journey of self-exploration, understanding myself a little more. So I decided to take a little time each month to explore photography as an art form, to elevate my understanding of both art and myself, and allow that deeply artistic side of myself a chance to spread her wings. ”
I hope to keep the fire of art alive inside me – I need this outlet to “shoot for myself” and I really find a bit of a muse in my daughter. She is such a free spirit, but still can be cautious and quiet, almost reserved. I take her location scouting with me often. Some of my favorite pictures of her have been on these scouting expeditions, just me and her and the sunshine.

To see what others in the group came up with, just take a ride around the circle, starting with Kate Suzanne Photography. Thanks!

I don’t understand why dandelions are considered a weed… They are so beautiful, both when they are dots of yellow across a field of green, and also when they are magical little fairy poofs that float on the breeze.
