52 on Fridays: Adventure!

What a perfect theme for this week! We’ve been living the adventurous life, and living it (momentarily) without children! My wonderful husband and I took a trip to Gatlinburg last week, and hiked with a great group of friends up to the top of Mt LeConte! It was certainly an adventure… 6.6 miles up, then just as far back down the mountain. There was some downright GORGEOUS scenery along the way – the mountains are truly lovely.

Obviously I didn’t take all of these… it’s high time I show up in our family albums too. They are by no means perfect – they were all taken on my old rebel (hey, it weighs less than half what my pro body weighs!) and since it was raining during our hikes, we had some serious darkness to contend with in the woods. But nonetheless, these snapshots hold some great memories for my husband and I.

Me and the hubby… that sign is rather misleading! It only tells the distance one way!
