So you’ve booked a portrait session… now what? You’ve spent hours debating on the perfect outfits to wear during your portrait session. Haircuts, baths for all the kiddos, clean fresh and beautiful. We smile and we play. You see your gallery of gorgeous pictures…. Now what??
Lucky for you, you chose a full-service portrait studio. This means that I’m here to help you through the portrait picking process. If you are a visual person, please feel free to set up an in-person ordering session. We can go through everything together (with REAL proof prints that you can hold in your hands, not just a computer screen) and choose which images are your favorites. We can crack open the sample albums, feel the thickness of the pages, the beautiful organic feel of the linen covers, the quality of the bindings. You can see what different size pictures look on real walls of a real home. And if you bring along a photo of your own walls, we can design a perfect canvas grouping together.
As a full service portrait studio, I’m happy to offer far more than the standard 5×7’s and 8×10’s or even just digital files that you then have to DIY your prints. But you are still left with the question: what kind of products are right for my family?

What a Photographer Orders after her Portrait Session
1. Some small prints. (You know, for Grandma. Dad’s desk at work. A few photo displays around the house.)
2. A Fine Art Canvas. The Keepsake package comes with a 20×24. Mine’s in my kitchen, and the wall it’s on is smaller so I opted for a 16×20 that fills it perfectly. Every morning I come downstairs greeted by my sweet family. I smile when I look at it and see how much everyone has grown. It just makes me happy.
3. An Heirloom Album. It was so important to me to get an heirloom album with these pictures – it’s a treasure. My kids look through this album all the time. The pages are actual photographic prints (not cheap press printed pages) and they are super sturdy. This is the kind of quality that you just can’t get from the consumer places.
These are the most important things products for me! And to have these beautiful completed pictures delivered to you right from the photographer is a wonderful experience. Having something physical and lasting is definitely a treasure in today’s digitally centered world.
