PRESS RELEASE: Canandaigua, NY, May 13, 2017. – The Finger Lakes Birth Connection is hosting a free community event, Beyond the Birth Room on Saturday May 13, 10:00-12:00 at the Mischief and Laughs Photography studio in Canandaigua. Expecting parents and those who are trying to conceive are welcome to come talk to local doulas and birth professionals and learn more about birthing options. Home birth, hospital birth, water birth, and childbirth education will be discussed during this educational event. All expecting moms will receive a complimentary baby bump photo courtesy of Mischief and Laughs Photography.
During this 2 hour meet-and-greet, parents will have a chance to sign up for childbirth education classes, meet with local doulas and discover childbirth support options. All birthing options are represented, including home birth, water birth, hospital birth, and natural childbirth. Education is the focus of this event, with each of the doulas presenting a short talk about how they contribute to the birthing community and support laboring mothers.
Parents will also have the chance to meet birth and baby photographers and even have a professional photo keepsake taken to commemorate this special stage in their lives. All mommas will also get a complimentary wellness tea brewed by Dalai Java.
