Going Home to Cincinnati!

(All photos of my family in this post are by Gabriella Hunt Photography. She is fabulous.)

In a few short weeks, this wonderful magical few years we’ve spent in the Finger Lakes will be finished. We’ve so enjoyed this time in the area. Well maybe not the longness of the winters, but certainly the rest of it.

Living here in the Finger Lakes region has been one of the best things for our family, letting the kids experience things that they wouldn’t otherwise get to do. We’ve been out to New York City a few times, been skiing on White Face, hiking in the mountains and in the gorges, and we got the chance to visit several beautiful historic cities.

We’ve made some fabulous friends along the way. Friends that will be sorely missed. Friends that have become family. I’m happy to be going back home to Cincinnati, closer to the family we were born into. But we’ll miss the family we’ve created by choice here in New York.

We have grown closer to each other, and at the same time my children are going through a phase where they seemingly can’t stand each other. Moving again is going to be hard for them – yet another new school (the 4th they’ve been in.) But they are resilient and they’ll make new friends and hopefully they’ll learn to get along in the process.

Here’s to new beginnings.

Some important info as my family makes the transition:

  • All previously booked weddings will be fulfilled with no changes, no worries.
  • NY Clients: I’ll be back from time to time. My email list will be the best way to book one of these spots. Sign up below.
  • If we can’t make a session work during my travel times, please let me know. I’ve got an amazing network of referrals!
  • Cincinnati clients: I’ll be booking outdoor family sessions starting in September and newborns with due dates in November or later (once my studio gets set up.
  • Look for a few changes in the following year, good changes. Fun changes! I’ll post more about that later.

New York sessions… be the first to know!
