A Shout out to Moms

Moms,

This mothers day, I want you to know that you are awesome.

The job of mothering never ever ends – the whistle doesn’t blow at 5:00 or 9:00 or ever, we moms are always “on” ready to help our children any time of day or night. This work we call being a mom is tough. Mentally and physically. We have borne babies in our bellies and on our hips and in our hearts. We have logged 100,000 miles to and from baseball and scouts and playdates. We have sacrificed a huge part of ourselves to them, in the name of love.

And it is that love for our children that keeps us mommies going every day.

I hope and pray that every one of my friends and clients feels extra loved this Mothers Day.

For all you do and all you are and all you mean to them, Happy Mothers Day.

Spring Sweetheart {Northern KY Baby Photographer}

Adorable little miss M is back for her 6 month photo session! She did the girly girl thing like a rockstar! A pretty pastel tutu and pearls? Um, yes please! I just love this age – so sweet and squishy. They interact with the world around them; they are so curious about everything. Oh yeah – the best part is that six month olds don’t run away.

Oh sweet squishy little miss Hazel was such a doll during her three month session that took place right in her simple, soothing gray nursery… the combination of quintessential baby chub, a pretty pink tutu, and gorgeous eyes that match her name perfectly was almost more than I could handle!

Little Mr is 9 months old already! He’s on the move too, crawling all over, pulling up, and even starting to stand alone! I’m thinking he’ll be walking (or maybe even running) by his one year session for sure. I’d better bring some good shoes to that one. I absolutely LOVE 9 month olds. If I could pick any age to photograph, I might just pick this age… so adorable!

Some moments I count myself lucky to just be in the room with a family. This session was one of those moments – this sweet girl’s family was amazing, you could feel the love and the wonder for their new baby flowing through them. Sweet miss Mila was 3 months old when I came into her home for her session, and she was so very sweet. She is a doll.

Welcomed with Open Arms {Cincinnati Baby Photographer}

I met this super-fun family early last spring – there were three than, and the little one introduced herself with “Hi! My name is M. and my mommy has a baby in her belly!” Well, time ticks on by, and now there are four. In fact, the new addition was already 3 months old when I got to meet her!

The littlest Miss M. is such a doll, what a wonderful addition to their family – mom and dad, you should be so proud of your gorgeous kiddos. They are so full of life, full of energy (I mean that in a good way!) and it is so very obvious that they are full of love for their little sister.

Change is Good.

Wow! 2013 has started off on a great foot! Just since Christmas I’ve had a lovely family session, two super sweet newborns, and an absolutely lovely couple (who had their session outdoors, in January, with short sleeves. How awesome is that?!) With every new year, I revisit my business policies, figure out what works, what doesn’t, what needs updating/changing/etc. And each year as I grow, I tweak things. I change things. My brand evolves, along with my photography itself.

Oh Mr. Handsome, how you steal my heart every time I see you. First, he wowed me with his giant smile at his newborn session, then his sparkling eyes and chubby cheeks got me at his 3 month session. I didn’t think he could get any cuter… I was wrong.

Seems like every few months I forget to post a session on the blog completely… and I can’t believe it was this one that I forgot! My baby nephew turned one year old back in August, and it was quite the cause for celebration in our family! The silly little dude didn’t want much to do with my camera (or standing still) but such is the way of a new walker, I suppose.
