Sisters, Sunshine, and Smiles {Northern KY Child Photographer}

Proctor Girls Spring 2013

These cuties have been longtime clients of mine, and good friends. I could seriously photograph them every day. I hope they are always this sweet toward each other! :) Their session was full of hugs and kisses and lots of laughs.

Welcomed with Open Arms {Cincinnati Baby Photographer}

baby in hat

I met this super-fun family early last spring – there were three than, and the little one introduced herself with “Hi! My name is M. and my mommy has a baby in her belly!” Well, time ticks on by, and now there are four. :) In fact, the new addition was already 3 months old when I got to meet her!

The littlest Miss M. is such a doll, what a wonderful addition to their family – mom and dad, you should be so proud of your gorgeous kiddos. They are so full of life, full of energy (I mean that in a good way!) and it is so very obvious that they are full of love for their little sister.

A Season for Memories {Northern Kentucky Santa Photos}

baby cries as he sits on santa's lap for pictures in northern kentucky

I have no doubt in my mind that part of my work here on earth is to tell stories, preserve memories, and use the gift of photography to help benefit others. And with this mindset, I try whenever I can to use my photos to help - I try to give back to the community in some way or another… from the COTA valentines day mini sessions to help families of organ transplants, to the ongoing work for military families through Operation Love Reunited, and my most recent work for the Kentucky Special Needs Adoption Program (which because of privacy I cannot show, but trust me when I say that they are the most amazing children.)

For my final “give back” campaign of the year, I called the Big Man down from the North Pole for a little Ho-Ho-Help! Together with one of the most friendly neighborhoods in Northern Kentucky, we raised nearly $400 for charity! The donations benefit the Brighton Center of Northern Kentucky as well as the neighborhood’s local elementary.

52 on Fridays: Cozy {A Day at the Farm}

The farm offers wide open fields, silos, and barns.

Fall is the perfect time to get cozy with a warm sweater, a cuddly kitten, and a trip to a favorite local farm for pumpkin picking and harvest fun. My daughter and I (along with her little best friend) went to Benton Farms in Walton, Kentucky for a little farm field trip. We chased chickens, helped feed lambs, and learned how pumpkins grew. But the farm kittens stole the show! My little girl couldn’t get enough of the fuzzy cozy little fur balls.

A Gaggle of Giggles {Northern Kentucky Child Photographer}

Earlier this week I had the privilege of having a kiddie photo booth at the MOMS Club of Hebron’s annual open house! These kids (and their lovely mommies) are comfort to me. They are home. I have been in the group for 5 years, and the mom-to-mom support is simply amazing. And to have the opportunity to give back to the group in this way was just phenomenal!

Love Abounds {Cincinnati Family Photographer}

IMG_7311 copy

One of my favorite sessions with some of my favorite people…. And the light was incredible during this session, so much so that it took on a character all its own. I especially love the interactions between little man and his baby brother – they are almost 6 years apart, and the love is so apparent between them.

And… I realize that I completely overshared on this one. Sorry! Enjoy the ridiculously long blog post of pictures. ;)

Wings and Wonder {Cincinnati Child Photographer}

IMG_6206

Curious, full of wonder, taking in the newness and breathtaking beauty this earth has to offer.

The W. family was the winning family in my dream session giveaway early this spring. And I love that Momma W wanted to capture the wonder and joy her children have, taking in Cincinnati’s Krohn Conservatory and the gorgeous butterfly exhibit. The girls, who are 3 and 7, certainly seemed to be filled with awe (and a bit of apprehension, but that’s ok too.) ;)

Sisterhood {Northern Kentucky Child Photographer}

child photographer

These sweet little girls reminded me so much of my own sister and I – full of love and giggles. They played together, loved on each other, and of course they laughed together. I hope they can remain as close as my own sister and I have through the years…

Mom and dad got in on the action as well, for some lovely family pictures. The day was muggy and warm, but we had a blast running and playing at the park. Perfect picture weather.
