A Shout out to Moms
Moms,
This mothers day, I want you to know that you are awesome.
The job of mothering never ever ends – the whistle doesn’t blow at 5:00 or 9:00 or ever, we moms are always “on” ready to help our children any time of day or night. This work we call being a mom is tough. Mentally and physically. We have borne babies in our bellies and on our hips and in our hearts. We have logged 100,000 miles to and from baseball and scouts and playdates. We have sacrificed a huge part of ourselves to them, in the name of love.
And it is that love for our children that keeps us mommies going every day.
I hope and pray that every one of my friends and clients feels extra loved this Mothers Day.
For all you do and all you are and all you mean to them, Happy Mothers Day.
Love,
Cara Harrison,

Perfectly Pink {Northern KY Newborn Photographer}
Once again, I’m a bit behind on blogging – but better late than never.
I LOVED this sweet, very pink, very girly newborn session! Adorable little Carsyn was a doll and slept perfectly for our session.
During our consultation mom mentioned that she loved the colors pink and brown – it’s such a great combination! I really think we played up the girly factor to the max during this session. I’m a girly girl myself, so this was right up my alley – pretty bows, fluffy tutus, and lots of shades of pink pink PINK!
Sweet Little Thing {Cincinnati Newborn Photographer}
Love love love this family and sweet, precious little Noelle (who was born on Christmas day, what an incredible gift for her momma and daddy!) Seriously, I couldn’t be luckier with the people who I’ve met in this photography journey. Miss Noelle started her session with a little snoozer but when daddy saw what was going on, he asked if I could get some open-eye pictures. Little miss must have heard him

Oh, tiny little Kinsley! You have stolen your family’s hearts… especially daddy! Big bad dad is a tough firefighter with a heart of gold, and I know that these pictures of you hanging out in his gear mean so much to him.
I love honoring special requests like this – momma had mentioned a few weeks before the session that she would love to incorporate daddy’s gear into the session in some way. Of course, we had to girl ya up, you beautiful little thing! The bow that says “Daddy wears boots, I wear bows” says it all!
Double, No Trouble {Cincinnati Newborn Twins}
No trouble at all… Well other than the fact that little Mr didn’t like to sleep. But that’s ok, because he had some of the biggest, clearest, most focused eyes that I’ve ever seen on a newborn. I didn’t mind one bit that he would rather gaze at me and my camera than doze next to his twin sister.
Ellie and Ethan really are awesome babies though. I loved the morning we spent together. I loved getting to hold one or the other of them, helping momma rock them and comfort them. Sessions like this cozy and comfortable, and yes, even relaxed… I’m truly in my element with the little ones.

This sweet little girl’s mommy recently contacted me for newborn portraits – her baby girl was already 3 weeks old, and unfortunately due to my busy schedule the earliest I could work her into the schedule was when she was nearly 5 weeks old. Normally, parents contact me before their babies are born, and we shoot newborn portraits when the baby is between 5-10 days old, so that the baby will have that tiny “newborn” curl.
I explained that to sweet G’s momma that I would be thrilled to capture her baby during the precious fleeting first weeks. I also explained to her,

Meet G, the happiest newborn ever. He had so many little smiles for me at his newborn session! He must have known how much fun we were going to have, LOL.
This tiny little nugget is my newest baby plan member… which means I get to see his sweet face time and time again over the next year. And for that I couldn’t be happier. I just hope he keeps on smiling for me.
Big Brother Adores Him {Cincinnati Newborn Photographer}
Little Colton made his appearance recently, and his big brother Levi couldn’t be more thrilled! This sweet little growing family session took a bit of work (Colton was more interested in food than sleep!) but eventually we got him to doze off for a very short while.

A Princess is Born {Northern KY Newborn Photographer}
This little sweet pea is the fresh new baby sister of one of the very first newborns I ever had the pleasure of photographing. Her brother previously held the record for easiest baby to take pictures of, but little Naomi blew that out of the water! She arrived sleepy and ready for pictures
