Something amazing happens when families get together. Jokes are shared, laughter abounds, kids play, babies are smooched, love falls down like rain. I was so privileged this spring to be able to photograph this lovely extended family – a couple sisters and their beautiful families, along with their sweet grandma and grandpa. As the session progressed, their fun nature began to show more and more – playing soccer together, wrestling and playing in the grass, and all sorts of fun with their cousins. My favorite part of the session though was the prayer circle at the end – I love that this family is so close, so reliant on each other and on God that they felt that their prayer together was something that should be preserved in photographs. Amazing to witness.
