I shoot most of my child and family sessions on-location, either at an outdoor location or in the comfort of your own home. Nearly anywhere with good light can make for a beautiful portrait – don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Locations do not have to be huge or grandiose, in fact I find that often times the simpler locations make for better images – less to distract from you and your family.
I can also come to your home if you are looking for more of a lifestyle feel for your session.Really? My home? You may think your home is small, or cluttered, or just not right for pictures. Trust me, it’s perfect. I will come in and search for the perfect spot (every house has a few perfect spots) and I may move a few things around, but we will find the right light and the right place for pictures. If you have a yard, we may go there and stretch our legs for a bit. Home is such a nice place to have a session, especially with babies or small children… you are where they are comfortable. Not all locations are suitable at all times of day – we can work together to find a location and time that will give you the best possible portraits. Any entrance fees must be paid by the client, both for the family and for the photographer. Locations farther than 30 minutes from 41048 will be assessed a travel fee, which is to be paid in advance.
