There is nothing I like better than an open-eyed, alert newborn baby. Seriously. I know the sweet sleeping babies look absolutely angelic (and yes, most of my itty bitty clients do snooze through their sessions) but seeing the world through a fresh, new pair of eyes is something otherworldy. Something special. Something that I cherish.
Little Miss Ellie not only gave me what is perhaps my favorite open-eyed picture from an under-2-week-old ever, she also let me take some very sweet sleeping shots. Thanks again, Ellie! I hope to be able to watch you grow over the next year!
I absolutely love the photos that we recieved from this shoot. I admire Cara’s patience throughout the session, as Ellie was quite awake for the first 2 hours! These pics perfectly capture the beauty of a newborn and will keep the image of her innocence and purity at this age fresh as she continues to grow with each passing day.
