Fall Leaves Mini Session
These classic fall sessions are some of my favorites for the year! These are great for any family wishing to get some of that yummy fall color in their pictures. Pioneer Park features a beautiful lake and dock area, wooded sections, and tall grass that will give your session the perfect fall vibes!

Classic Christmas Mini Session
Looking for an outdoor Christmas session option with a tree-farm vibe without having drive an hour out of town? I have the PERFECT spot. This quiet park is ideal for Christmas, with two types of pine trees and a beautiful brick wall for lots of options. Decorated set and props will be similar to shown!

White Christmas Christmas Mini Session
This year’s simple white studio features the cutest cut-out paper theme! Its fresh white + green design pairs with any style—classic reds and greens, soft neutrals, or bold brights. Cocoa Stand Christmas Mini Session
One of my favorite studios is back this year for cozy Cocoa Stand Minis! This studio has several sets in including a fully decorated cocoa stand complete with a vintage cash register! This indoor session option is pet friendly, located on the first floor, and ideal for larger families. Sample photos of this studio’s set are provided below in the FAQ section.

Mini Sessions FAQs
- Where will the sessions be held?
Each session has its own unique location! See session listing for details. - What if it rains?
If your session is outdoors and if there’s a high chance of rain, they will be rescheduled. If you are not able to make the rain date, you are welcome to switch your booking to another available theme, you can book an individually scheduled weeknight session at a location of my choice, or I will refund your session fee. Indoor sessions will only be rescheduled for emergencies (ie: snow or photographer illness) - What if I need to reschedule for illness or any other reason?
I understand that things come up! If you need to reschedule, you may switch to any other available mini session date. If you cannot make any of the dates listed, or if all dates are full, contact Cara and we’ll do a weeknight OUTDOOR mini session at a location of my choice. There are NO REFUNDS for reschedules for any reason other than rain, and makeup sessions must be photographed before the end of the 2025 portrait season – they will not transfer to 2026. - How many people can be in the session?
Minis are ideal for immediate families, children, couples, maternity, or individual portraits. If you have an extended family group, please reach out so we can discuss option. If you have a large immediate family (more than 6 people) please do not book the White Christmas option, as that studio is not very big, all other options are fine for larger immediate families - Are pets allowed?
Yes – for most sessions. The White Christmas studio is not pet friendly, however the Cocoa Stand studio is, and pets are welcome at all outdoor sessions. - Is 15 minutes enough time?
I’ve been doing mini sessions for years, and I find that 15 minutes is perfect for families with school aged, teen, or adult children. Babies and toddlers sometimes need a bit more time to warm up to the camera, but I can usually get a few smiles in that short time. If you’d like a longer session you are welcome to book back to back spots! - What should we wear?
Once booked, I’ll provide a style guide to help you coordinate outfits. There are some colors that work best for specific sessions; here are my recommendations. Actual set photos are below for reference!- FALL LEAVES: Bold jewel tones and muted earth tones work beautifully with fall sessions. Floral patterns are great! Avoid bright neon colors.
- CLASSIC CHRISTMAS: like the name implies, this session is perfect for bright red, whites, greens, and neutrals. Many of my prop items have buffalo check, so try to avoid dressing everyone in that specific pattern, but some check is fine to coordinate.
- WHITE CHRISTMAS: this studio is very neutral with most of the props being white. Any Christmas color scheme is great in this space – you can go bold/bright, classic reds, muted Christmas colors, or even neutral tones with lots of texture. I would avoid anything bright white.
- COCOA STAND: this studio has a lot of exposed brick and natural textures like wood and leather. Accessories are generally a bit more muted, but there are some bright red and green accents. Classic Christmas colors or neutrals with lots of texture would look great in this space.
- How many images will we receive?
You’ll receive a gallery of edited images to choose from, with a 5 digital images included in your package. Additional images will be available for purchase. - When will we receive our photos?
Your gallery will be delivered within two weeks after your session. - How do I book?
