“Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It’s for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It’s for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don’t see it nearly enough…” ~Anonymous
This winter I was contacted by the lovely miss Jamie, whose husband was preparing for a naval deployment in the very near future. We lucked out with a short amount of time to schedule, and short January days – we happened upon a sunny 60 degree winter day, just a couple days before he was set to report.
I loved photographing these high school sweethearts, whose relationship has stayed strong throughout the years, through thick and thin. I loved listening to their story, talking to them, laughing with them. Nothing better really.
Jamie’s own touching words, upon seeing some images from the session:
” You have no idea how good it feels to see this! He is already gone and I am so lost. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much I needed to see these pictures. What a wonderful day that was.”
If you are a military member or spouse/girlfriend/son/daughter/whatever and you are facing a deployment, please contact me to discuss a totally FREE session with Mischief and Laughs Photography offered through Operation Love Reunited. I’m honored to offer these sessions, completely of my heart, no strings attached. Our military members and their loved ones sacrifice so much, and this is my small way of giving back.
Beautiful pictures!
