Being ready on a moment’s notice is something that is so important in wedding photography. And having a network of friends to fall back on is even more critical. One Friday evening at about 4:45 I got a call from a frantic friend, looking for help to shoot a friend-of-a-friend’s wedding. She was desperate – the photographer the couple had booked had an unfortunate accident and was in the ER. So I grabbed my bag, said a little prayer that my batteries were charged (they were) and took off for the wedding.
I feel so thankful that I was able to capture such an amazing day for this lovely couple! I’m sure that having your photographer land in the ER on the day of your wedding was stressful, but their smiles certainly don’t show it.
