We are thrilled to share the enchanting tale of DJ and Mark, as they embarked on their journey of love amidst the tranquil beauty of nature. Nestled amidst towering trees and rolling meadows, Long’s Retreat Family Resort in Latham, OH provided the perfect canvas for a rustic yet elegant affair. Surrounded by loved ones and the symphony of rustling leaves, our couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that echoed with promises of a lifetime together.
My absolute favorite part of the ceremony was the Bourbon Tasting! The couple had made their own special blend of bourbon prior to their wedding day, and during the ceremony they took a first swig together. Such a personal spin on the old unity candle tradition!
After the ceremony, the canvas covered reception hall hosted a raucous dance floor, delicious food, and plenty of alcohol fueled party shenanigans while wooden flower centerpieces and mason jar lanterns cast a warm glow over the festivities.
Guests were treated to a delightful feast of barbecue cuisine, showcasing the best flavors of the season. From savory bites to sweet indulgences, every dish was a celebration of local produce and culinary craftsmanship.
As the evening deepened, laughter and love filled the air, accompanied by the strumming of acoustic guitars and the twinkle of starlight above. Couples swayed under the moonlit sky, their hearts dancing to the rhythm of newfound joy.
