One of my favorite things about being a newborn portrait photographer is the quiet and peace that surrounds the session experience. It’s not rushed, it’s calm, it’s warm – it’s such a cozy experience. I try my best to do literally everything for the parents – they sit and watch while I soothe baby into a deep sleep.
The sessions take place in the comfort of my home studio – a private space specifically set aside for newborn sessions. Everything you need for baby’s photos is right here, props ready to go, snacks on the table. Although I miss the space I had my actual studio up in NY, there’s something about being in a home that makes the experience so much more relaxing!
Little Lukas’s photo session started like most do – with a sweet simple swaddled pose to get baby comfortable being held and moved around. Once he was comfortable, I unwrapped him and started in on some beautiful portraits.
All newborn sessions have the option of including parents, so mom got in a few – she was amazing! Parent pictures are always some of my favorite of the session – they are so important to include!
Then it was back to sleep for the little guy.
Of course, babies don’t *always* sleep… sometimes they like to let their little opinions be heard. So when Lukas was done with his session, he let us know!
Thank you to Lukas’s momma for the amazing portrait session! Hope to see you again very soon!
