Photo sessions like these are my favorite. Like ever. A warm summer night, a soft sunset, and a handful of lively kids, and parents who completely trust me to make art for them – it’s a photographer’s dream. Sessions like this make my heart happy, especially since I get to help make the kids laugh!
We met at Kingswood Park – a newish passive park near Mason. Kingswood is an old converted golf course that has rolling hills, trees and perfect sunset views. They recently installed pollinator gardens, and although the flowers aren’t as lush as they’ll be next year, they are off to a great start.
My favorite thing though is that the kids were allowed to be themselves, running off and playing on occasion. We’d reel them back in for a minute of pictures or a game (I love playing games!) and then they’d be off again on their little adventures. And obviously from the photos here, you can see that these little moments of wild make amazing memories – it’s so much fun to have both the candid pictures and the posed ones in a session.
