When scheduling your outdoor session with Mischief and Laughs Photography, please be aware that certain times of day are more conducive to beautiful portraits than others. I prefer to shoot in the early morning or late in the day, when the sun is low in the sky. This is what is known as “The Golden Hour” to photographers because of the warm, beautiful quality the sun takes on. Ideally, I would schedule all my sessions right at sunrise or an hour before sunset to take advantage of the beautiful natural light. However I know that when working with young children, waking up at the crack of dawn or keeping them up past their bedtime is not a recipe for sweet smiles.
If possible, I would prefer your outdoor session be scheduled as early or late as you can manage, but I will leave the exact time up to you. If we must shoot mid-day, that is perfectly fine, although I may suggest a particular location where we can find plenty of nice, even shade. I will let you know what time I recommend we shoot, based on sunrise/sunset times on the day of our session, however I will leave the final decision in your hands.
Indoor sessions should be scheduled when the light in your home is bright, but not shining directly in the windows. In most homes, this occurs when the sun is higher in the sky, usually between 10:00-2:00. I will look around your home when I arrive to find the area with the best light to shoot.
