This little guy holds the place of being the first born, the one who makes her a mommy, the one who gets all the attention (even if only till the next comes along.) Nothing can ever take that from him, and although I’m sure it’s hard for these new parents to picture it now, these newborn days will absolutely fly by.
My oldest is 12. Let me say that again – TWELVE. It feels like so long ago since he was this tiny, and so much of those days have slipped from my memory. I wish I knew a smidge of what I know now about baby-raising…. But I’m so thankful I have some beautiful professional photos of him at that age. That’s something I can’t go back and do, it’s something priceless.
This is why I love doing what I do. I love meeting young parents with little tiny babies and huge genuine smiles. I love snuggling the cute little ones and rocking them to sleep. I love the fluffy hair and the smooshy baby rolls.

Momma asked me to wake him up (yes, I actually had to WAKE him) for some open eye shots! He didn’t want to, but we got some super fun open eye photos for mom! He even gave me a little smile!
