What a wonderful first year! A big thank you to all of my 2010 clients for making the start of my photography business so fantastic. I hope to have even more fun photographing you and your families in 2011. And to my seniors – you guys rock. Seniors are some of my favorite sessions! I love the fact that so many of you had such wonderful ideas about the kind of look you wanted for your session. I love when I am able to capture a bit of your personality!
This post was inspired by the You Capture theme this week: Year’s Best. You all have my good friend Jen to thank for giving me the idea to turn it into a viewer-favorite contest.
The pictures I’ve showcased here are just a few of my personal favorites from this year. They may not be the best pictures technically, but they spoke to my emotions, to my creative side. They are the types of pictures I want to take.
My favorite photo from my very first session – this picture will always be special to me.
Who wouldn’t love such a happy little hamburger?
These little guys were so much fun to shoot! They are such boys, such brothers. This picture puts a smile on my face every time I see it.
This session was just fun – the location, the sweet girl, everything about it.
These (and a few more) have been entered into a “Best of 2010” contest on my business facebook page. To vote for your favorite photo, simply leave a comment under it (you will have to “like” my facebook page to be able to comment.) The picture with the most comments by Sunday night (1/9) will be the 2010 photo of the year, and the client will win a certificate for a mini session. If your picture is on my facebook page, please feel free to share with friends and family – they are welcome to leave comments on your picture as well, and their comments will also count as votes in the contest.
(I’m sorry to those clients whose pictures I didn’t showcase. I wish I could have shown every shot I took this year, but no one would have wanted to read that blog post, lol. I had to keep it to 10 pictures, but just couldn’t decide, so there are actually 15 on my facebook page.)
* Mini Session Information: The free mini session is approx. 30 minutes in length, and does not include any prints or products. Mini Session certificate will expire June 30th 2011. Customer is responsible for mileage charges if the location is further than 30 minutes from my home. Mini sessions are not appropriate for senior portraits, newborns, or larger families, as these types of sessions generally take more time. Value of the mini session is $75.
