We just returned from an absolutely amazing week of lounging on the beach and playing in the sand. Sun and salt water have infused into our veins, and we returned relaxed and renewed. The Outer Banks is a beautiful place, and I would love to go back soon and enjoy another week on the ocean.
Here are a smattering of some of my favorites from our time in OBX – a little collection of photographs from both my iphone and my big camera.
We spent the week at the beautiful Sanderling Beach Resort – I loved this place and would reccomend it to anyone. It had a relaxed atmosphere and the staff never failed to help us with anything we needed. The beach was just steps from our room (such a blessing with three kids and their stuff to lug!) and it was never crowded. We didn’t do much other than play in the water during our vacation, and that was pretty much perfect for us.
Before we left the beach for good, I made my family stop playing for a few moments and get a “formal” picture. I say formal in quotes, because we’re all wearing swim gear… how formal can you get with trunks on, right?
Thanks for letting me relive our vacation in the sun and sand here… as you can see, we didn’t do much other than play around in the water. And that’s exactly what we wanted to do. It did our souls a world of good.
