This sweet girl was perhaps the oldest newborn I’ve ever photographed… at 8 weeks old, she was quite a bit fluffier than my normal brand new freshies and had a winning little smile that newborns can’t yet do. But momma and I were determined to give her the best newborn pictures possible! And she totally rocked the session, for both the awake and the sleeping pictures.
I love babies of all ages and stages, and while I usually recommend parents book their newborn session during the second trimester, so that we can be guaranteed availability during that first 2 week sleepy newborn stage, sometimes that just isn’t possible. And that’s ok. This little miss proves that older newborns can be equally precious!
