If you’re searching for a Cincinnati wedding photographer with years of experience capturing love stories, you’ve come to the right place. My journey in wedding photography has been an evolution—marked by seasons of growth, challenge, and transformation. Looking back, I can define my career by distinct “eras,” each shaping me into the photographer I am today.

The Newbie Era (2010 – 2015)
I took my first steps into photography in 2010, focusing on babies and families. It was in these early years that I honed my skills, discovered my style, and built my confidence behind the lens. But wedding photography? That was a whole new world—one I wasn’t sure I was ready for.
Thankfully, I had people who believed in me. One of them was my best friend, who trusted me to capture her wedding at the charming Indian Hill Schoolhouse in 2015. That experience, along with a few other weddings that year, set me on a path I couldn’t turn away from. The rush of storytelling, the emotion of the day, the fleeting moments—I was hooked.

The New York Era (2015 – 2018)
In late 2015, life took me to upstate New York, and with that move came a new challenge: transferring my business. It was daunting, but to my surprise, weddings started flowing in effortlessly.
This was a golden era of growth—refining my workflow, improving my client experience, and developing a reputation in a new market. I learned so much during this time, not just about photography but about running a business that felt sustainable and fulfilling. Weddings came easily, my clients were happy, and I felt on top of my game.

The Covid Era (2019 – 2021)
Then, everything changed. In late 2018, we moved back to Cincinnati, and I found myself starting over once again—2019 was a challenge just because of the move. And just as I got my footing, I had a new challenge—a global pandemic.
This was the hardest era of my business. Weddings were postponed or canceled, and I felt stuck, both creatively and professionally. I questioned my place in the industry, wondering if I had lost the momentum I had worked so hard to build. But as tough as this season was, it also forced me to reevaluate my approach and find ways to keep moving forward.
I did a lot of personal shooting during this time, my kids, documenting my life through the pandemic. I took a few weddings, mostly smaller events. I took on a project that celebrated kids who got their sports seasons abruptly canceled. I pushed myself creatively and introspectively.

The Era of Growth & Change (2022 – Present)
Determined to push past the creative blocks, I started investing in myself again—attending workshops, booking content days, and challenging my own artistic boundaries. I experimented with my editing style, finding ways to keep up with trends while staying true to my own aesthetic.
This was the season of taking risks and refining my work, making small but intentional shifts that reignited my passion for wedding photography. I found myself inspired again, and my business began to flourish in new and exciting ways.
I found myself drawn more and more to a documentary approach in wedding photography. Rather than just posing couples for traditional shots, I focus on capturing raw, unscripted moments—the laughter between friends, the quiet glances, the joyful tears. Storytelling photography allows me to preserve the emotions and energy of the day in a way that feels real and timeless. My goal is to create images that transport couples back to their wedding day, allowing them to relive each moment as it truly happened.

What’s Next?
Looking ahead, I feel a renewed sense of excitement for what’s to come. I see my work evolving into a fresh, modern aesthetic—posing that feels effortless and natural, colors that feel timeless yet contemporary, and an experience that makes every couple feel celebrated in the most authentic way.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this journey, it’s that photography—like life—is always changing. And I’m here for every new era that comes next. If you’re looking for a Cincinnati wedding photographer who understands the importance of capturing your unique love story, I’d love to connect and be part of your special day.
