Oh brothers!
This sweet family has two boys, in two years.
Just like I did several years ago, when my now 6 year old was born, and we brought him home to meet his big brother, who honestly was not that terribly big. Compared to the new little baby, he looked like a giant. But he wasn’t, he was still a baby himself. My two little boys grew to be playmates, buddies, coconspirators – best friends and worst enemies all at the same time, as only brothers can be.
I know that this family has been blessed immeasurably by their sweet boys, full of boundless energy and fun. I know that momma will some days be overwhelmed and exhausted, but glad that she has her little men around to make messes and cause trouble. I know that this little family now has something very special – it has brothers.
Congratulations to this awesome little family – may your boys grow and play and roughhouse and love each other with the fierce, wild, protective love that only brothers seem to have for each other. May they cause trouble (but not too much) and may they have the very best of childhoods together.
