Spring portrait time is here, and beautiful soft blooms are the inspiration behind this month’s “what to wear” guide. Light, airy, and soft, this classic spring palette flatters a variety of skin tones (even skin that hasn’t seen the sun all winter!) Think blush, cream, and coral, with a bit of earthy browns thrown in. Lace and chiffon textures along while aqua and sea foam accents keep the look grounded.
I love the dressy look this time of year, and I think that spring formals look perfectly pretty with the new spring blooms that are everywhere this time of year. If your family is more casual, you can make this look your own by adding in a generous bit of denim and some breezy boat shoes.
There are tons of locations in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky that are perfect for spring pictures, and the flowering trees usually get their start during the last week of March or the first weeks of April – so NOW is the time to book your session.
Where to shop for your family portrait clothing:
Mom: To best get this light, feminine look, it is best to start with mom’s wardrobe. Find something that fits and flatters mom, and build your look around that! Maxi dresses are a great option, as are classic fit-and-flare silhouettes.
