High school sweethearts, Caitrin and James. When he moved down the street from her in 6th grade, it was just a friend. That friendship grew throughout their school years together, and soon they were dating. That romance continued to bloom, and now they are proud to say that they are husband and wife.
This beautiful wedding earlier this summer took place at the beautiful Sherwood Inn in Skaneateles, NY. This intimate classy wedding was perfect for these high school sweethearts. The reception at the Sherwood Inn featured delicious eats, an elegant atmosphere and a packed dance floor.
Of course, getting ready at such a historic place left us with no choice but to make full use of the gorgeous wardrobes, grandfather clocks, and gilded mirrors for their getting ready photos. The tighter space of the historic inn was a bit challenging, but worth it in the end – this getting ready room is one of my favorites I’ve been in. So much history here.
One of my favorite little moments happened when her flower girls saw her for the first time! They were over the moon seeing gorgeous Caitrin dressed for her big day!
And of course, we can’t forget about the guys!
Their Sherwood Inn wedding ceremony was so romantic, with a string quartet providing music and everything lit by lamplight.
After the ceremony, we walked across to the lake for portraits. Skaneateles Lake is so beautiful and the park is perfect for those wedding party and family photos. 
And then of course, it was time to party! And party we did. Dancing and drinking and general merriment was had by all. The event staff at the Sherwood Inn was amazing! I’d highly recommend them for a wedding reception, the food was delicious and they left the guests wanting nothing.
And last but certainly not least, we were rewarded with some beautiful sunset photos by the dock. The cotton candy sky and the rising full moon were simply amazing! Skaneateles does not disappoint!
